It is a joy and pleasure for me to welcome you and to thank you for checking out this online snapshot of First United Methodist Church in the beautiful town of Rutherfordton. I believe the local church holds enormous promise for embodying the love of God in this community, thereby enabling our lives to be richer and filled with purpose and hope.
Originally from Wisconsin – and still a devoted Badger and Packer fan – I received my higher education at Georgetown College, Southern Methodist University, and Vanderbilt University. I am married to Laurie who is pastor at Salem UMC in Bostic, and together we have four incredible children. In my spare time I enjoy walking, reading and traveling. I look forward to meeting you soon.
