The Friendship Club, our Church's after-school mission program, began it's 18th year in 2011.  We serve 24 first through fourth grade students by providing a safe and supportive Christian environment in which the children can make friends, enjoy enrichment activities, learn more about Jesus and the love of God, and get one-on-one volunteer help with their homework, reading and math.

Men, women and youths volunteer as "study buddies" and we have a staff of three to operate our program.  Friendship Club's operating hours from 2:30 - 5:30 p.m., Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, and we follow the public school calendar.

Our enrichment activities include story telling, drama, games, arts and crafts, music making and singing, cooking, and taking short field trips.  The children enjoy snacks and listen to Bible stories or read scripture daily.  In addition, the children have the opportunity to attend summer camp each summer at Tekoa outside of Hendersonville, NC.
