The Tot Learning Center is a pre-school program for ages 16 months - four year olds. The classes are sponsored by the First United Methodist Church.

Classes & Schedules
The Tiny Tots class is open for children turning 16 months by August 31st and the two-year-old class is for children turning two by August 31st. These classes are from 9:00 - 11:30am on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

There is an optional 3- or 5-day program for our Three and Four-year-old children, operating from 9:00am - 12:00pm. Children should turn three by August 31st for the Three-year-old class and four by August 31st for the Four-year-old class.

Preference Policy
The students already enrolled in our TLC program automatically receive priority for a position in a class for next year. All church members are guaranteed a position within the school for the next year. After that, students are taken on a first-come first-serve basis.

Class size is limited so we can guarantee individual attention within our program.

The purpose of the program at TLC is to provide an environment for the child to grow physically, socially and spiritually.

Cognitive-Reading and number readiness programs are available to stimulate but not pressure the child.

All activities are offered to the child without pressure on an individualized basis.

Stop by church office and get a registration form or call Cathy Watson at 980-3368 if you have questions. Please let friends and family know that public registration begins on February 7.

Please register your children and grandchildren, ages 16 months – 4 years, in order to hold a spot for them in this excellent preschool program that our church offers.  Classes fill up quickly!

TLC Curriculum

SOCIAL SKILLS
Group activities and games help the child work, play and relate to other children.

EMOTIONALLY
Help is given to the child to meet new situations and new relationships with stability.

PHYSICALLY
Parachutes, balls, balance beam and ready-set-go activities are used to develop large and small motor coordination.

SPIRITUALITY
Each child has the opportunity to develop deeper values and a growing understanding of God and his love through devotions, Bible stories, songs and Chapel programs.

MUSIC
Music is offered in a variety of forms throughout the year.  Daily activities encourage natural music ability through the use of songs, finger plays, games and instruments.

OUTSIDE PLAY
Activities are held outside each day (weather permitting). The fenced playground provides an area for: free play, child-to-child interaction, physical education and fun.

CREATIVE ART
Each child will have the opportunity to manipulate, explore, and create with a variety of art materials. Each child will be encouraged to create from his/her own feelings and observations rather than from models provided by a teacher.

SCIENCE
Each child will have the opportunity and encouragement to explore the world around us.



MONTHLY TUITION

Tuition payments are due by the 15th of each month. Church members and families with more than one child enrolled in the TLC. program are given a tuition discount.

LUNCH BUNCH

Lunch Bunch is available on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays for our Threes and Fours. Children bring their own lunch and stay until 1:00 pm, for an extra fee of $3.00 per day
